Gerald Manning CBE – Conservation
Project Leader
Gerald was a founder member of the Devon branch of the Farming and
Wildlife Advisory Group, involved in the water industry through Ministerial
appointment, and became a member of the Environment Agency National
Board. He advised and worked with the EA executive on agriculture,
pollution control and fisheries, as well as having a national responsibility
for flood defence. He chaired a number of inter-agency government
and EU working groups committed to the development of sustainable
agricultural policy until his recent retirement from the EA Board.
